The qualities of light

For this post, I'm going to post three pictures where I played with the light to create a more realistic and we could say tastier image (the chocolate muffin).

First of fall, for this picture, I only used direct light from the left angle. Thus, we can  see a shadow in the right corner, because the light is hitting straight to the left side of the balloon, the pink icing and muffin.

In this image, we can still see the shadow, but it looks like its fading away. I did that by putting a white screen in front the light, so instead of hitting directly balloon and the other objects, it goes through the screen that diffuses the light, its the same function as a cloud.

In the last one, as you can see there is no more shadow and the muffin looks much more tastier and the color of the icing is much brighter. For this one I used the direct light with the screen that diffuses the light but i also used a reflector. A reflector bounces of the light that is hitting it. So, by positioning correctly the reflector behind the muffin, the balloon and the icing, it bounced of the light directly on the back of the muffin and the other objects. Thus, it removed the shadow and it brightened the objects.

planet panorama

I took the pictures for my planet panorama on the balcony of my third floor. Its a really nice view when it creates a panorama but when i put it in a planet shape it creates a different kind of perspective.

Had some difficulties because of the light.
